Actors Workshop Theatre at TRU is on their way to perform their next show, “Drinking in America” written by Eric Bogosian, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic in late November

“Drinking in America” by Eric Bogosian will be the second show in the TRU Actors Workshop Theatre 2020/2021 season and will be directed by TRU professor, Wesley Eccleston.

ABOUT “DRINKING IN AMERICA” BY ERIC BOGOSIAN

  • “Drinking in America” by Eric Bogosian will be the second show in the TRU Actors Workshop Theatre 2020/2021 season.
  • The show features 15 actors, ranging from their first year in the acting program to their last year.
  • The show is directed by a longstanding TRU professor and alumni, Wesley Eccleston.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

  • Audience members will be required to follow the AWT protocols regarding COVID-19:
    • Masks will be required
    • Groups must social distance from one another unless they are in a “bubble”
    • All persons entering the theatre must hand sanitize
    • No one will be allowed back into the theatre if they leave during the performance
    • When people are let into the theatre, they must remain in their seats until after the show ends
  • There are limited tickets for sale based on safety protocols to keep audience members safe.

SHOW DETAILS

  • The show’s run will be from Nov 26-28 and Dec 3-5, 2020.
  • Shows start at 7:30 pm and the doors will be open at 7:00 pm to allow for minimal crowding.
  • Each show will take place at the Actors Workshop Theatre, located on TRU’s campus in the Old Main building.

  • Tickets are available online at https://truactorsworkshoptheatre.tickit.ca/. They are 16.50 dollars each.
  • “Drinking in America” by Eric Bogosian will also be available online after the run concludes for people to watch on-demand. People can preorder tickets for online viewing here.

  • The TRU Actors Workshop Theatre (AWT) is an educational program and theatre company based out of Thompson Rivers University (TRU).
